Kylie Betucci Crazy Crafters Highlight

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Highlights this week.  Holy dooley the weeks are flying by now! Not long until the kids are out from school for a nice big break.
This week I wanted to share my "Happy" cards.  If anyone is like me they hate waste.  So, I originally was only making one card, but that soon snowballed into three lol.
I love using my Aqua Painters and Blender Pens and wanted to have a try at using the Whisper White Craft Ink.  So I got a little piece of scrap Basic Black.  I stamped using versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Then grabbed my pen and started playing.  Well... I liked it that much I couldn't throw away the scrap and decided to make a card out of it.  Because happiness is great and I love these thinlits I thought this would be a perfect pairing for the scrap.  What I did was use the 'negative' on this card and that of course is why I then needed to make another card, because I didn't want to waste the cut out (if I put it aside for a rainy day it just ends up in a pile from when I used to do that and gets forgotten) so I made the next card....

This card was done the exact same way.  Using the Hello You Thinlits for the sentiment and the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set.  I love how both of these cards turned out.  Now, its not easy to see by the photograph but I used the thinlit to cut out the happy from the black cardstock so I could lay the white in it whic means, yeah you guessed it I needed to make another card.....

This card was super simple I simply cut out the backing with the Detailed Floral Thinlits in the Glimmer Paper and Popped the sentiment up on dimensionals that I had cut down so it couldn't be seen behind the lettering

So that's my little bundle of 'Happiness' for the day .  I hope you have enjoyed my projects and I would love it if you voted for me, you can do that by CLICKING HERE.
I also love hearing back from you so please leave me a comment if you have the time :-)

Brian King Case

I have just found an unpublished blog hop post from quite some time ago that had not been completed of scheduled.  So I thought I would pop it up now for everyone to see.  I loved Brians use of lilttle tags so I cased that part of his project, also he made many of these adorable little boxes, so I decided to make many of the little sets below for everyone at onstage on the Gold Coast in April.
Cheer All Year, Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper, Bow Builder punch, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Christmas gift-giving ideas

So I hope you like what I have done here. The bags were made out of our packing paper using the gift bag board

You Got This #CTC010 #GDP062

Hi there, I have made a card today, it started out as an entry for Case This Card over at Jessie Holtons Blog.  The CASE is a card of KO Creations who won the #CTC009 last week.
So this time it is #CTC010 and I've used the pink flower and the background behind the flower as inspiration.
Then it evolved to Louise Sharp and her love of pink (she is such a beautiful lady, I caught up with her at Onstage again and she is just the cutest, she didn't recognize me and it made me giggle).  I wish there was a recording of her talk at convention years ago, I loved listening to her speak, she is so inspirational!  Then... because I was thinking about Louise I thought of the Global Design Project, because she is one of the designers and I saw that it would fit in perfectly with my card.  So this card is being entered in the #GDP062 also.
This is the card I came up with.  The flowers base colour is  Melon Mambo, It has been highlighted with Rose Red.  The Cardstock and Enamel Shapes are also Rose Red (& Basic Black).
The flower and the silver backing (silver heat embossed) stamp is from the You Got This Stamp set.  The sentiment and the little backing to the sentiment are from a new set to be released January 4 2017 called Sealed with Love.  The sentiment was stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink and Embossed with Melon Mambo Embossing Powder.  The edge of the sentiment I ran across the Versamark Pad and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.

All supplies used in this card are available for purchase in my online store, the link for it is at the top of the page.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my post, I'd love if you left me a comment.  Until next time stay well and happy crafting. Tamie

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Bibi Cameron

This is what I decided to CASE.

I chose this because my Daughter came to me and said she wanted to give her teacher a white chocolate as a farewell gift as she was leaving to have her baby.  I didn't get to take photos because as per kids right she gave me notice, and I ended up making it outside the school while they were getting started for the day.  That meant two things. 1. I had to get the school to take a picture of them together for me so Cathy had something to remember her by and so you all could see it (I haven't got permission to post the photo so if you see this Sensai let me know and I'll remove it) and 2. I had to go out and buy another box of chocolate so I could recreate it (it's called taking one for the team I believe lol). This one was made with Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay.

The remake is a little different as I'm in a more SIMPLE mood today hahaha.  The colours used this time were Soft Suede and Sugarplum.  Love that ribbon! A little wink of stella on the sentiment (You've Got This stamp set) and Hardwood stamp in Soft Suede and sponged in the same colour and that is this done. super simple but lovely at the same time. I apologize for the photos it's a lovely rainy day here so there was no chance of good pics.

I love that I managed to get the sparkle in the sentiment to show up (there's a first for everything)

Well until next time stay well and Happy Crafting Tamie

Crazy Craftrers Blog Hop Featuring Amy Koenders

Welcome to another CC Blog Hop.  To see all of the wonderful creations, see the full line up with their links below.  If you have the time please leave us a comment as it makes our day to see others loving what we do.  This time we are CASEing the super talented Amy Koenders.  So for the Hop the card I chose was this one below. It's very simple and sweet and I am dying to use some of the NEW 2017 Occasions Catalogue DSP and I thought this was the perfect project to highlight it...

Here is what I made.  I used Whisper White and Real Red Cardstock.  Real Red Ink and a little Whisper White Bakers Twine.  The Stamp Set is BRAND NEW, I got it from Onstage as a gift from the table at the end of the day as my Birthday was next YAY!!! Love Love Love It!!
Now, my CASE of this card evolved.  I had intended it to be upright the same as Amys but decided I liked the layout I was doing as a landscape instead of a portrait.  I used the paper from the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack.

The hearts and arrow were cut with the Love Notes Framelits Dies.   The little love heart and swirl pattern across the card was made using the aforementioned stamp set, it is called Sealed with Love, I stamped it three times across the page and then fussy cut around it and used it like a filigree/ lace edge.

The sentiment, OMG the sentiment! What a nightmare. I direct stamped versamark onto the paper and White Embossed it, and hated it.  So I decided, well I'll just sponge it with a little Real Red Ink to make it POP, bleh it looked awful!  So then I continued to fiddle (the better half suggested I shelf it as I was getting annoyed lol, however I'm a bit stubborn and wouldn't give up 'till I had made it right.
I ended up using the same sentiment that I used in the first place but this time went the other way around and stamped the little swirls in each corner, I fussy cut around it.  Then I thought about making it a little more interesting.  So I used some more of the little stamps and fussy cut around them.  Lucky for you they come with framelits, and even better they come as a bundle with the stamp set.  These are available January 4th 2017 to the public.  If you would like to get them sooner contact me and I'll be happy to help you get it in December.

Well until next time Stay Well and Happy Crafting.  Tamie xx

This is the project I decided to CASE

And this is my take on the project...

The colours used are Wisteria Wonder and Basic Black.  I also used Black Embossing and Silver Embossing Powder. And the ADORE word I used a little Wink of Stella and then Clear Embossed over it.
Stamp sets used are Watercolour Wings, Mixed Borders and Grateful Bunch.

Sarah Berry's Strawsberry Sketches #SS009

Poor Sarah is going to feel like I am stalking her lol.  I found this sketch while looking for inspiration for our Crazy Crafters Blog Hop featuring Sarah and CASEing her, click here if you haven't seen the hop.  I am a sucker for butterflies so as soon as I saw this sketch I knew I needed to play.

What is a bit hilarious to me is that I didn't end up using a butterfly on my card.  I busted open this stamp set for the first time to make this little beauty.

Sparkly Seasons is the Stamp set used for this card and what a gorgeous little set it is, I love that it's easy to see through the photopolymer to line up and layer on the project.  I used Candy Cane Lane DSP (yes I actually used DSP for a change lol) this paper is so gorgeous I couldn't resist buying it. Colours used were Soft Sky, Real Red, Soft Suede and Tangerine Tango for the snowmans cutest little nose.  I used Dazzling Diamonds for the snow and used the acetate sheet from the stamp set to make my globe glass.  Foam Adhesive Strips are perfect to keep all that glitter where it is meant to be.  And Merriest Wishes is the set for the Sentiment.  I like how it turned out and my kids LOVE it lol they're all asking for it for their teachers for christmas.

Feel free to leave a comment with your opinions or suggestions, I love hearing from you all.

Until next time Stay Well and Happy Crafting.  Tamie xx

Sarah Berry Case

Yesterday I was part of a blog hop with the Crazy Crafters featuring Sarah Berry and CASEing her. Click Here if you missed the post.  As I mentioned in the post Sarah has so many awesome creations that it's really difficult to choose just one so I decided to CASE her two days in a row so I could make another of her cards.  This one was super cute and I couldn't resist playing with it because as soon as I saw it I had an idea in mind, however as ideas sometimes go it didn't work out because I couldn't find my texture stuff (I know my names are great hahaha) to do what I intended but I had a great time anyway.

The joy of CASEing is that it has so many meanings, I like Copy And Selectively Edit.  With that in mind I made this little cutie into a full sized card.

Only Whisper White Cardstock was used for this project.  The stamp set I used here is I Think You're Great.  The colours used are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay.  I used a little Silver Metallic Thread. and the beautiful stars were made using the Hearts and Stars Decorative Masks, ink and sponge daubers. Add a little Snail, some dimensionals and a glue dot and you end up with this delightful card.

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Until next time stay well and happy crafting. Tamie xx

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Sarah Berry

Welcome to another CC Blog Hop.  To see all of the wonderful creations see the full line up with their links below.  If you have the time please leave us a comment as it makes our day to see others loving what we do.  This time we are CASEing the super talented Sarah Berry.  How to choose just one of her creations....?  Impossible!  So come back tomorrow and I will have another creation of hers that I have cased ;-).  So for the Hop the card I chose was this one below. It's so simple and sweet and I am a sucker for butterflies, also I don't use ribbons etc enough on my cards so I thought this was the perfect card for me.

My CASEing involved different colours and different stamp sets as the ones pictured are all retired.
I used the Flourish stamp from the Falling Flowers Stamp Set, the sentiment is from Floral Wings as is the  little flowers (they're super sweet aren't they!?) and the Butterfly is from the Butterfly Basics Stamp set.
The Cardstock isVery Vanilla and Basic Black.  I used Black StazOn to stamp the flourish and then I outlined andcovered the flourish with the gold Wink of Stella pen.  The butterfly, flowers and sentiment are all stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. I coloured in the flowers and leaves on the butterfly with the gold wink of stella pen and used a dry baby wipe to rub some StazOn onto the wings.  The sentiment I wanted an ombre effect so I inked up the stamp stamped it off, inked it a second time but only the bottom two thirds of the stamp and stamped it off.  I then reinked only the bottom third of the stamp and it was ready to go for the sentiment.  I used the Decorative Label punch to cut out the sentiment and it's black backing.  I stuck the centre of the butterfly down with a sticky dot then popped some dimensionals under the wings and the flowers are also popped up with dimensionals to give the card a little more depth. Craft Rope Trim was the finishing touch on the card.  I love how the card turned out and I hope Sarah feels I have done her card some justice.

Until next time stay well and happy crafting.

Something new with thoughtful branches bundle

Have you ever made something and thought I've never seen that done before?  Yeah,  me too. And then you google it.... hmmm bugger.  Well I  did it again! And then I  searched it and I couldnt find it anywhere,  yippie!

So heres what I did.

I used the 'tree branches' die out of the thinlits die I cut it out in Cherry Cobbler card stock. I then chopped off the trunk and turned it upside down (i was thinking of big hero6 at this point,  you know,  when the little brother was frustrated because what he was making wasn't working how he wanted it), I used the small handheld punch to punch two holes so I could fit the single strand from the new twine through. Then i took another strand and tied the bow. I stamped the sentiment and set it on a backing then was stumped,  i had been usong scraps off my desk and they ran out (booo),  so i grabbed my cherry cobbler marker and my ruler and free handed some 'stitching' as a surround for the card.  Ive showed some of our team and i got the comment that this made it look 'rustic' I love that description!

So once you've made one you always have to make a second.  So the second one o made in pacific point with a little gold ribbon for the string to hang it. This one looks much more elegant than the red because i had plenty of this colour (yay!). So have you seen this set used as a christmas bauble yet?  I love the idea! Gives the set more versatility,  and we all love that....  let me know in comments what you think and which colour is your favourite,  I'd love to hear from you.

Until next time,  stay well and happy crafting. Tamie xx

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Wendy Cranford

Hi, so happy you could drop by.  Today I am part of a blog hop with the Crazy Crafters, we are CASEing Wendy Cranford this hop and wowee was it a challenge to choose just one thing.  I was searching through all of Wendys posts and got to one that was close to home. It was an Autism Matters Blog which is important to me because my beautiful daughter has Autism, and to have awareness brought to the condition is very important, not just for those who have ASD but also those who care for and are involved with them on a daily basis so they can understand there is a difference between a Temper Tantrum and a Meltdown and that all of those involved are amazing human beings.  But enough of that, I could talk all day about it.  I also loved this project because it was a watercolour card, something that I love the look of but have never been very good at.  So here's Wendys gorgeous card....

Autism Matters blog hop creation to give to an Autism caretaker. Wendy Cranford

How stunning is that.  I absolutely LOVE it!  Now as seems to be the norm with me I couldn't find what I needed to make this, (watercolor paper) oops.... So I started watching youtube videos to learn how to do it so it didn't look like mine was done by a kindergartner.  Wow there are a lot of different methods.

So I tried it on Whisper White card stock, um fail!  So I put those two aside as a project for another day because they weren't right for this project (no I didn't toss them, I don't chuck when things go wrong, I see it as a challenge for more creativity).

Now on to the solution.  I recalled a great friend of mine Angela (click to go to her blog) saying to me that Shimmer White cardstock works for watercolour, and I had some (winning).  So I got to making.  And I came up with two cards as I tried two different styles that were completely different but totally gorgeous so I couldn't choose which one to feature which means you get to see both.

This first card I did in exact same way as I did with the Whisper White, what a difference!  The shimmer paper is great not only because it allows you to blend the colours but also because the pretty shimmer comes through. The little flower is from the Touches of Texture stamp set, I stamped it in versamark then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The colours used for this card were Dapper Denim, Bermuda Bay and Tempting Turquoise.  These colours go together famously don't you think.  The stamped panels behind the feature were from the Touches of Texture stamp set also.  The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set (which is only available this month, so if you want to purchase it get in quick) I inked it up in Versamark then in Tempting Turquoise before stamping down and covering in clear embossing powder.
This panel was done a little differently and love the effect.  I will try get a video done to show how I did it and I will add a link in here when I do.  The colours used in this one are Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo and I sure do love the effect they have together.

Here are the completed cards, I hope you like them.  I think what is great about them is they could be used for anyone, the colours make them very versatile.
Be sure to hop around all of the other fabulous creations from the team.  The links are below.   If you have the time leave a  little message for us as we love the input and feedback it really makes our day.

Until next time stay well and Happy Crafting.  Tamie xx

Oops i missed the Dawn Olchefske blog hop

So I was all proud of myself for having my project made well over a week in advance.  But silly me didn't get the post done in time for the blog hop it was intended for with the Crazy Crafters. So instead of scratching it it thought what the heck and am doing the post anyway.  So I hope you enjoy what I decided to make.
I found this adorable little sweet box on Dawn's  blog and decided that it was what I wanted to case (along with a card,  which only after I made it did I realize it was someone elses,  then I did the same thing again lol) anyway I made my version of the box and I hope you like it.
The card stock is Basic Black which I punched with a 1 3/4" punch I scored and folded at the same spacing that Dawn has in her tutorial.  You can't see it in this picture but I put a piece of Kraft Cardstock inside the back so there was a little contrast.  The spotty trim is washi tape from the Affectionately Yours collection. Dawns box had that gorgeous big thick ribbon on her box but I decided I wanted something a little finer, so I used some Linen Thread and the new Black and Copper Metallic Thread.
Now I can hear you thinking I haven't seen the punch for those little sparkly leaves, well that's because it's not a punch.  I made a card (remember me saying earlier I had made a card to go with it) using the Champagne Glimmer Paper (which I have just now realized is retired, oops) which I cut using the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies.  And yep you guessed it. this is the part that gets cut out, well some of them anyway.  They're super sweet I think.  I popped a little treat bag with some dark choclate coated cranberries inside and folded the flaps over punched two holes with the 1/16" Handheld Circle punch to puch the threads through.  And there you have it, I hope you have enjoyed this post.

Until next time stay well and happy crafting. Tamie xx

Crazy Crafters Team Highlight

Hello and welcome to this weeks Team Highlights.  This week the theme is encouragement.  It is so easy to give encouragement, all it takes is words they are free and so easy to share.  Too often these days people are so quick to pull others down instead of prop them up which is sad.  So I knew I wanted to be a part of this weeks Highlight. If you like my card you can vote for it by clicking on Kylie Bertucci's blog
I love this sentiment out of the new Thankful Thoughts stamp set.  It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who makes up silly nonsense words lol.  This card was super easy to make, all stamping was done with versamark in and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I love the flourish out of the Falling Flowers Stamp Set and the flowers are super pretty too.  The colours used were the new In Colours Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo.  Remember if you would like to vote for my creation Click Here to vote for it

Well I hope you like my project.  Until next time... Stay well and Happy Crafting.  Tamie
