Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Martha Groeger

Hi all and welcome back to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop.  This time we are CASEing Martha Groeger.  I had three cards in my shortlist and chose this one because I am feeling 'Beachy' lol.

Here is the card I chose to CASE of Marthas.

And here is my take on the card. I decided to use a couple of stamp sets that are retiring just because I can...

My card base and front are Whisper White and The backing colour is Smoky Slate.  I've only used three colours in the stamping, that is Crumb Cake for the 'solid part of the shell' and Smoky Slate for the 'shadows'. The shells and sentiment come from the So Many Shells stamp set. The blue wash behind was stamped using Pool Party, it is from the Work of Art stamp set.  The sentiment was also stamped in Pool Party.  . Everything was adhered using Snail and Dimensionals.

I hope you like what has been made today.  Remember the Stamp Sets are available 'till sold out as they discontinue at the end of this catalogue.

Be sure to Hop Around to everyone elses blogs and check them out!  Leave feed back if you have time as we all love to know people enjoy seeing what with love and enjoying it too

Until next time stay well and happy stamping. Tamie

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Rachel Tessman

Image may contain: text

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. It's been a while... hope you are all as excited as I am about this blog hop.  This time the Crazy Crafters are CASEing Rachel Tessman, my goodness what a gorgeous smile, makes you happy just looking at it!
Image result for rachel tessman stampin up images
So after going through every image I could find over the last week I created a short list.  Now what is really funny is that yesterday I thought it was already Sunday and I thought I had missed it, the kids all gave me the der look (I'm sure you guys get that one, even with grown kids lol), Mum it's only Saturday.  Let me tell you I was so excited!  So from my shortlist I decided on this one.  I  just felt like it was talking to me... maybe because it's so darn fresh and beautiful looking.

Little did I know that I was biting off more than I could chew, I hadn't read the accompanying blog post (see link above), I had just saved the image.  Rachels beautiful card was made with DSP!!!!! Eeeek!  Who here loves the gorgeous scenes people make (I am jumping up and down over here Michelle Zindorf might be my favourite shhhh)?  I however am completely inexperienced with the whole concept soooo I took a deep breath and jumped in. I started with a Whisper White card base and card front and grabbed some Bermuda Bay to layer it up a bit similar to Rachel. Then I got to the inky bit... So for me I lay down some Sahara Sand with a Sponge Dauber, then added a little more colour to the 'sand' with Soft Suede.

Next I put in my sky with Soft Sky, now I know this is retiring but as yet I haven't got hold of the new Balmy Blue colour... Then on to the ocean I went with Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy.  I finished up the waves with the white pen same as Rachel used in her post which was a very cool effect.

Now as I usually do so well I started looking at my desk to see what I need to get down to finish the card and I come to the very bright realization that my Black Twine is still packed away somewhere after moving, doh.... But I had white, yippie, and an idea formed!

For the stamping on the card everything that Rachel used has been discontinued, so I went to hunting and I found the High Tide stamp set had little birdies very similar, shadows for the birdies are in that set too, one problem down.  And Daisy Delight has these awesome little Reeds in it so there's the forefront of the card, these were stamped in Memento and Crumb Cake.  I felt like mine needed a little more so I used the 'grass' out of the High Tide set too, also stamped in Crumb Cake.

The sentiment I could no longer do black as I didn't have the bakers twine so I decided I would do a 'reverse ombre' to what the card was from the sky to the ocean for a different effect. I used Celebrate out of the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies.

I decided I wanted the card a little 'grungy' so I distressed the edges then set to the task of sticking it all together. I Snailed the Bermuda Bay to the card base then I used Foam Adhesive Strips to stick down the front.  I also used the Strips to pop up the sentiment.  I used a Glue Dot to hold the knot in place...

Well I hope you like my take on Rachels gorgeous cards.  Remember if you want any or all of the projects used you can go straight to my shop and buy them.  Also if you haven't got a demonstrator yet and you would like a new catalogue as soon as it is available let me know and I will get one to you as soon as they come out.  I'm always to have new friends to add to my customer and team bases so if you are looking for some fun and no pressure click the links provided.

Crazy Crafters Weekly Team HIghlights

Hi all, welcome to the Crazy Crafters Highlights again.  I have had this little card made up for the last week but have not found the chance to blog about it so here I go.

The Stamp Set used for this card is the Sharing Sweet Thoughts set. There is a LOT of cuteness in this set let me tell you.  This will definitely be the frist of many from this set.
I stamped the jar in Memento ink and then fussy cut it (I can hear the groans...lol), I think I've said before I LOVE fussy cutting, I find it therapeutic.  I rain some tape around the back of the jar and stuck on some clear acetate (what has come off my Photopolymer stamps).  Next I stamped the lid in Dapper Denim and the sentiment I used Dapper Denim Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach Stampin Write Markers. The butterflies were stamped in Memento and coloured in the same colours. And the hearts stamped in the background are using Peekaboo Peach Ink.

The backing is Dapper Denim put onto a white card base.  To finish off the card I had to layer it up. I did that using Dimensionals but it would probably have been easier using the Foam Adhesive Strips.

Well all in all it was a fairly simply card to put together. I hope you like it.  Be sure to Hop Around to all of the other great projects in this hop.

I would love it if you would vote for me, here is the link to do that...  http://www.craftykylie.com/2018/03/crazy-crafters-highlights-vote-for-your.html

Until next time stay well and happy crafting.

Crazy Crafters Team Highlight February 2018

Well everyone it's been forever since I did my last post. I have finished up with Stampin' Up! After 5 years only to join again this week with no other than the beautiful Rose Desmond. I am super excited to be a part of the Crazy Crafters again.  I am still in the process of moving so I don't have my office or anything sorted but wanted to start off on the right foot and be a part of these highlights. I hope you love what I have made as much as I do....

Who doesn't like colouring in I know I sure do love it. So I made up a few cards for you all to look at.
I used the Floral Statements stamp set.
I hope you like it.

Kylie Betucci Crazy Crafters Highlight

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Highlights this week.  Holy dooley the weeks are flying by now! Not long until the kids are out from school for a nice big break.
This week I wanted to share my "Happy" cards.  If anyone is like me they hate waste.  So, I originally was only making one card, but that soon snowballed into three lol.
I love using my Aqua Painters and Blender Pens and wanted to have a try at using the Whisper White Craft Ink.  So I got a little piece of scrap Basic Black.  I stamped using versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Then grabbed my pen and started playing.  Well... I liked it that much I couldn't throw away the scrap and decided to make a card out of it.  Because happiness is great and I love these thinlits I thought this would be a perfect pairing for the scrap.  What I did was use the 'negative' on this card and that of course is why I then needed to make another card, because I didn't want to waste the cut out (if I put it aside for a rainy day it just ends up in a pile from when I used to do that and gets forgotten) so I made the next card....

This card was done the exact same way.  Using the Hello You Thinlits for the sentiment and the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set.  I love how both of these cards turned out.  Now, its not easy to see by the photograph but I used the thinlit to cut out the happy from the black cardstock so I could lay the white in it whic means, yeah you guessed it I needed to make another card.....

This card was super simple I simply cut out the backing with the Detailed Floral Thinlits in the Glimmer Paper and Popped the sentiment up on dimensionals that I had cut down so it couldn't be seen behind the lettering

So that's my little bundle of 'Happiness' for the day .  I hope you have enjoyed my projects and I would love it if you voted for me, you can do that by CLICKING HERE.
I also love hearing back from you so please leave me a comment if you have the time :-)

Brian King Case

I have just found an unpublished blog hop post from quite some time ago that had not been completed of scheduled.  So I thought I would pop it up now for everyone to see.  I loved Brians use of lilttle tags so I cased that part of his project, also he made many of these adorable little boxes, so I decided to make many of the little sets below for everyone at onstage on the Gold Coast in April.
Cheer All Year, Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper, Bow Builder punch, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, Christmas gift-giving ideas

So I hope you like what I have done here. The bags were made out of our packing paper using the gift bag board

You Got This #CTC010 #GDP062

Hi there, I have made a card today, it started out as an entry for Case This Card over at Jessie Holtons Blog.  The CASE is a card of KO Creations who won the #CTC009 last week.
So this time it is #CTC010 and I've used the pink flower and the background behind the flower as inspiration.
Then it evolved to Louise Sharp and her love of pink (she is such a beautiful lady, I caught up with her at Onstage again and she is just the cutest, she didn't recognize me and it made me giggle).  I wish there was a recording of her talk at convention years ago, I loved listening to her speak, she is so inspirational!  Then... because I was thinking about Louise I thought of the Global Design Project, because she is one of the designers and I saw that it would fit in perfectly with my card.  So this card is being entered in the #GDP062 also.

This is the card I came up with.  The flowers base colour is  Melon Mambo, It has been highlighted with Rose Red.  The Cardstock and Enamel Shapes are also Rose Red (& Basic Black).
The flower and the silver backing (silver heat embossed) stamp is from the You Got This Stamp set.  The sentiment and the little backing to the sentiment are from a new set to be released January 4 2017 called Sealed with Love.  The sentiment was stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink and Embossed with Melon Mambo Embossing Powder.  The edge of the sentiment I ran across the Versamark Pad and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.

.
All supplies used in this card are available for purchase in my online store, the link for it is at the top of the page.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my post, I'd love if you left me a comment.  Until next time stay well and happy crafting. Tamie
